When they stood up to the day-to-day pressure of big stout bulls hitting and pushing, I was impressed. Then one day I saw a skid steer back into a panel bow it way out and it came back like nothing I was sold.

I was looking for a panel that would last. I wanted a product that had a big and stout look that wasn’t a man killer. So we tried a few to see how they were. They accomplished everything I wanted.

We have used Riverode equiment ever since Chuck and I got out of college. I think the thing we have always liked the best is you could keep adding to a chute setup or calving pens, and they always fit together. We started with a chute and a slider and now we have a chute, palpation cage, and 2 sliders at every farm. Whether you are clipping purebred sale heifers or synchronizing receipts Riverode gates and chutes have always been our go to.

We have cattle on a lot of different farms, and we can normally figure out a way to use a lot of standard sized Riverode gates and chutes on most of them. But it seems like every farm has a place or two where you need that custom made gate to make the cattle flow better.

That’s where Riverode really excels other brands in our opinion, because you never have worry about them fitting together. They have used the same loop and pin spacing since started and the slider we bought in 1995 is literally pinned to and a bow gate we picked up in January of 2023.

We were wanting to handle our cattle herd in a safe manner while being easier on the animals as well. Before we started using Riverode products, we would lasso or halter cows and tie them in a corner of a barn if we needed to assist then during calving. This was dangerous for both us and the cattle. Now one man can handle cows and start calves nursing if needed, safely.

We have had many odd dimensions and openings over the years that Riverode has always been able to find a sturdy solution for our needs. The products are top-notch strength and operate smoothly. We have 4 head gates working and some are over 20 years old. They still operate like the first year.

I would tell anyone to call Riverode with complete confidence. The knowledge and follow-through that the team provides is best-in-class. I have been very impressed with the products and service from the Riverode brand. My next new beef barn will be outfitted with Riverode products!
